Newbie

I took the plunge!  I discovered blogging this summer and I am completely in love.  Thus far I have only been a blog stalker.  I know absolutely nothing about blogging or blogs but here I am creating one.  I have no idea how much I will do with this blog but I would like to learn more.  I also really want to learn how all of the awesome bloggers make stuff and sell it on TPT.  It is so cute and wonderful!!! But again, I have no idea how to do it. 

A little bit about myself:  I am married, a mommy, and a 1st grade teacher.  That pretty much somes it up!  I have been married for almost 9 years, my son (Max) will be 3 in November and I am coming up on my 10th year of teaching.  This will be my 2nd year in 1st grade.  I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and K also.  My school loves to move me around all over.  That is okay though because I feel like I have learned so much from all of my experience.

Last year I was given the dream job of "Reading Resource."  It lasted 2 weeks:(  After our 5 day count I was moved into 1st grade.  That was so much fun...not really!  I had no idea what I was doing and on top of it I was made Team Leader.  My poor team had to put up with me all year.  Hopefully I will do a better job this year. 

I didn't think I would like 1st grade.  I had begged to get out of K 5 years ago because I couldn't take the little ones anymore.  I discovered, however, that I think I love 1st grade.  I think I was made to be a 1st grade teacher.  Yes, they are little.  But not K little.  I had a very rough class last year but I survived and learned a lot!  I love teaching them how to read and seeing all of their progress.  I swear no other grade is like it! 

I am really looking forward to this next year.  So many wonderful ideas from Blogland and so many new goodies from TPT.  Plus, I am doing a theme in my classroom this year.  I have never done one before but I am so inspired by all of the amazing bloggers I stalk.  I am doing an owl theme this year.  If I ever figure out how to post pictures, I will. 

Will someone actually read my blog?  I know that is the whole point but I am a little nervous.  You know the whole, "Am I interesting enough to blog?"  Probably not but oh well.  I am going to anyway!
